Presentation of the research results on Hate Speech and Discrimination in Georgian Media

Media Development Foundation, MDF presented the final report of the Monitoring of Hate Speech and Discrimination in Georgian Media on December 20, 2013 in The Frontline Georgia Club.

The monitoring that was aimed at observation of ethnic, religious, sexual and gender based discrimination covers the period from April 15 to August 15. The recommendation were presented to the representatives of media, professional and non-governmental organizations, as well as the joint recommendation of MDF and Georgian Democracy Initiative (GDI) to the political parties and civil sector on the creation of effective mechanisms against xenophobia.

The project “Advancing National Integration in Georgia” is implemented by the United Nations Association of Georgia (UNAG) and the Open Society Georgia Foundation (OSGF), with the financial assistance of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
